Apex Legends is the culmination of a lot of hard work for Respawn. The studio’s work on Titanfall 2 was impressive but ultimately forgotten, in no small part because of the previous game’s poor reception. It’s a shame, since people who gave this game a shot loved the emotional single-player campaign and its amazing gamep

PUBG Mobile does a good job with this. You can play while on a bus or train ride to school or work (or even play in those places, just don’t get caught). Good luck trying to do this on a PS4 or Xbox

How is this accomplished? For starters, it’s important to understand why I think Overwatch’s roster is, by and large, not very well thought-out. And before you post this on some forum and find my Twitter and get all pissy because I hurt your feelings about a game you had no hand in creating, I should really repeat that I used to love Overwatch and have fanart and figures from it all over my home. However, Blizzard has proven over the course of several years that they’re firmly stuck in the lane of pandering to anime fans and horny teens. Oh, and the meta’s awful. There’s also t

Other changes include the ability to remap keys to your controller and changes in bot ratios. Instead of quickly filling the match with bots, each session will now wait up to five minutes to try and fill to 100 players before making up any shortfall with b

I digress. First, let’s talk about the female characters – practically all of them look the goddamn same. Outliers like Mei and Zarya notwithstanding, almost every single female character, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or occupation, are identical in both facial characteristics and body type. A gruff military woman hailing from Egypt has the same ass and bust and weight of an introverted teenage hacker from Mexico, a socially awkward Indian mathematician, a dumb white cowgirl, a Swedish welder, a German doctor, a professional gamer from Korea, a French sniper, a white whatever-the-fuck Tracer is, et cet

The pairing of Revenant and Dusknoir should be enough to strike fear into the hearts of every Legend in the games. Revenant is the fearsome simulacrum with a sordid history with Loba , whose access to the Shadow World allows him to grant a protection over his team, making him a huge contender in battle. Dusknoir, in its Pokémon Soul Silver Pokédex entry ” is said to travel to worlds unknown. Some even believe that it takes lost spirits along with it. ” Death has no dominion over these two frightening combatants. There’s no telling the devastation they could bring to the fight should they combine their pow

The controls in the console version are tighter and more cohesive. Plus, they don’t clutter up a third of the screen or sometimes miss inputs because of sweaty fingertips. It’s just more comfortable to play on a controller, which is why some PUBG Mobile players even purchase third party controllers for smartpho

The most obvious reason why PUBG on consoles is a better experience is like comparing DVDs to the cinema. The screen is bigger for the console and while this might not seem like a big deal, it actually helps with immers

However, apex Legends season 12‘s cast isn’t just head-and-shoulders above its competitors. Instead, it goes for the jugular of a personal favorite: Overwatch. The comparisons are impossible to not see. Chatter that dumps lore, signature voice lines, a MOBA-lite class system… the list goes on. But the thing is that not only is Apex clearly influenced by Overwatch, it’s hellbent on improving on it. Every person on the design team of Apex went above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a game with characters that are, on both a conceptual and aesthetic level, more interesting than anything Blizzard could come up w

So if the fighters of Apex Legends were to each have the chance to pick a Pokémon for themselves, which would they choose? Well, first, to ensure that the arena is still standing at the end of each match, Legendary Pokémon must be off limits (despite the pun). The Apex gunners are powerful enough without cosmic-creating creatures by their side. Additionally, readers can assume that once a Legend chooses their Pokémon, the creature ceases to evolve any further, avoiding any sudden massive changes to the Apex balance. So which Pokémon would each Apex Legend decide

Apex, on the other hand, doesn’t really have the same problem. Look at the female characters alone – Wraith, Bangalore, and Lifeline. Only one of them is wearing a body suit, and considering her character (stealthy interdimensional assassin-y lady,) it fits. The other two women wear clothing that makes sense for both their respective roles on the battlefield and their lore, with Bangalore’s fatigues making sense considering her military upbringing and Lifeline’s breathable top and cargo pants fitting with her role as a combat medic, as well as being more casual than something somebody from her wealthy upbringing might wear. On top of their outfits, each woman looks different. Different body types and heights and faces help to give them differentiating factors beyond outfit colors and hairstyles. While I’d like more diversity in terms of female body types and eventually other ethnicities, it’s a pretty bang-up st
