Vocabulary development activities are now catered to suit individual learning styles and speeds. Digital platforms allow teachers to differentiate tasks, tailoring them according to the specific strengths, challenges, and interests of each student. This ensures that all students, regardless of their starting point, can progress at their own pace, making learning more effective and enjoyable.
These programs implemented a pre- and post-program evaluation tool to assess the progress each student made in their reading and writing skills during the course of the program. The students’ performance was evaluated using standardized school tests from the previous academic year as a benchmark.
Perhaps, a vital lesson learnt from these programs was that effective summer learning is not strictly about reducing the “summer slide,” but about creating engaging learning environments that encourage continuous exploration.
