That’s right. Forget Marvel. This is the show to watch if you want a rich, existential look at the interconnectedness of all things. The world of the OA is vast and the way it works follows the most unexpected rules.
Prairie has scars on her back and experiences traumatic episodes, but won’t burden her adopted parents with her story. Instead, she takes to the internet, finding like-minded friends via the medium of YouTube.

The OA doesn’t abide by any strict TV series formula either. The opening credits don’t appear until 57 minutes into the show. It was written like an eight-hour film, with a novelistic approach. You don’t meet some of the main characters until a third of the way through.
From here, the story functions a little like the mystery in Yellowjackets. We don’t know whether Prairie is telling her new friends the truth or not. We don’t know whether she truly has supernatural powers. To them, it doesn’t entirely matter. She brings unhappy, trapped people together, showing them the same kindness and understanding they’ve afforded her. Showing them an escape.
Brueckner also is alleged to have admitted abducting Madeleine to a friend – and the German team of investigators, led by public prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters, said they were certain he had killed the three-year-old.
Magnificent Baby
If you take one piece of advice from this list, make it this: Invest in as many magnetic onesies as your budget allows. These are pricey, but in my experience, totally worth it. No zippers, no snaps – just little magnetic buttons that let you quickly and easily open and close your baby’s PJs, perfect for those bleary-eyed middle-of-the-night changes. The fabric has a nice soft, almost silky feel, and there are lots of cute patterns to choose from. (My baby’s Pop-pop also loves them, as they’re easy to operate even with arthritic hands.)
Surprisingly, the ending of season 2 almost works as a finale for the whole series. Still, Marling and Batmanglij have the real conclusion tucked away somewhere. Let’s pray they have a chance to bring season 3 to the screen. Someone please hop dimensions and rescue this show from the realm of canceled TV.

I registered for a regular old baby nail clipper, figuring, I know how to clip nails, how hard could it be? If you know that you’re going to be formula feeding when you build your registry, do yourself a favor and ask for a Baby Brezza. Essentially a Keurig for formula, it makes bottles on demand warmed to one of three temperatures. Though past versions have come under scrutiny for not measuring formula correctly, I haven’t had an issue with the latest model, which has strict cleaning requirements (and to double check, we occasionally weigh bottles on a kitchen scale). You can choose from the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced, which lets you manually push a button to get the formula, or the Advanced Wi-Fi, which lets you start a bottle from your phone. It’s not cheap, but made my formula feeding journey infinitely better.
