Okay, I’ve been pondering this for a while and I can’t quite wrap my head around it. How do free adult content sites ACTUALLY make money? I get the whole ad revenue thing, but with so many people using ad blockers, it can’t be that lucrative, can it? Do they sell user data, or are they secretly funded by some shadowy organization? And isn’t hosting all that video a huge bandwidth cost? I’m genuinely curious about the economics of it all.

It is definitely complicated, and there are a few main levers that they can pull. From what I know, it’s a mix of ads, affiliate marketing, and premium subscriptions. To see which one works the best, I checked out different platforms, and they usually have a very diverse mix of ads and videos. It seems some sites get deals to promote larger platforms, while others focus on building their own libraries. In many cases, they also sell their own lines of porn as exclusive content.

It’s interesting to think about how the internet has disrupted traditional business models across all industries. The expectation of free content has forced creators to become incredibly resourceful in finding alternative revenue streams. It really goes to show how much the perceived value of content has changed over the years, and how that impacts the creators.
