Alright so I don’t usually post about this kind of stuff but a few people in the local business group asked me last week how I’ve been getting more enquiries lately, so I thought I’d just share what I ended up doing.
Basically I stopped trying to do my own SEO which, tbh was going absolutely nowhere and started looking for someone local. I specifically wanted an SEO Agency Bristol, because I figured they’d actually understand the local market, the competition here, and the way people in this city search for things. I didn’t want to hand my money over to some big faceless agency up north who’d just slap me on a retainer and then kind of disappear on me.
I ended up at seobristolcompany.co.uk after a bit of digging around. Honestly I wasn’t sure at first — there are so many of these sites, and they all say the same sort of things. But a few bits stood out. They break down their services properly, on-page SEO, technical SEO, link building, Google My Business, even things specific to tradesmen, dental clinics, lawyers and so on. It felt less like some generic template and more like they’d actually sat and considered who they’re helping, and what those clients actually need.
They’re also based in Bedminster, which for me was kind a real plus , you know. It just feels a lot more accountable when someone is actually in the same city as you, not like online in a way, if that makes sense.
I’m only a few months in, so I’m not gonna go too heavy on the results chat yet, but the enquiries have picked up quite a bit, like noticeably. And my Google rankings for a couple of key terms have gone from page 3 to page 1 , which I honestly didn’t expect to shift that fast at all.
If you’re a small business in Bristol and you’ve been putting off sorting your SEO out, it might be worth at least having a look. They do a free consultation, thats how i started too—no pushy hard sell, just a proper sit down, and they walked me through where my site was coming up short, and what to adjust.
Has anyone else gone down the local SEO route ? I’m curious if other people had similar experiences, or if I just got lucky with the timing. -
