How do these mobile car service guys actually work, do they bring their own parts?
Genuinely curious how this whole thing operates because I have only ever dealt with regular workshops my whole life. My wife’s Tucson needed brake pads and a friend kept telling me to try one of those services that come to your house instead of dropping the car off for a day. I started reading up on it and ended up on a page where I could learn more about how the whole thing works, and it seems like they do most jobs right in your parking lot. But that raised a bunch of questions for me. Do they carry common parts in the van or do you have to wait for them to source something? And what happens if the job turns out bigger than expected, do they just leave the car half done? Also curious about pricing, is it flat rate or does it change once they see the actual condition. Anyone used this kind of service for brakes or suspension work, would love to hear how it went because the convenience part is really tempting but I am skeptical about quality.
