How do these mobile car service guys actually work, do they bring their own parts?

Genuinely curious how this whole thing operates because I have only ever dealt with regular workshops my whole life. My wife’s Tucson needed brake pads and a friend kept telling me to try one of those services that come to your house instead of dropping the car off…[Read more]

So I’ve had my C7 Stingray for a couple of years now and honestly, it’s been pretty reliable, but I’m starting to get to that mileage where I want to be a bit more proactive about maintenance rather than just waiting for something to break. The thing is, every time I call up a general workshop and tell them it’s a Corvette, I can almost hear them…[Read more]

I’ve got a Discovery that I absolutely love, and I use it for what it’s designed for, regular trips out into the desert and the occasional weekend camping adventure. The thing is, all that off-road fun comes at a cost to the paint, pinstriping from bushes, fine scratches from sand, and just general wear and tear that makes the car look a lot…[Read more]

I’ve got this problem with my car that’s been bothering me for a while and I can’t seem to figure out the source. There’s this musty, slightly stale smell that hits me every time I open the door, especially if the car’s been sitting in the sun for a while. I’ve tried those hanging air fresheners, I’ve sprayed fabric freshener on the seats and…[Read more]

So my S-Class just hit 120,000 kilometers and I’m starting to get a few warning lights popping up that I’ve never seen before, one of them looks like it’s related to the air suspension and honestly I’m a bit worried because I’ve heard horror stories about how expensive those systems are to fix. I bought the car used a couple of years ago and it’s…[Read more]

So, I’m in a bit of a panic and hoping someone here has experience with this specific issue. I’ve got a Bugatti Veyron that I’ve had for a few years now, and it’s always been meticulously maintained. But recently, I’ve started noticing a faint ticking noise coming from the engine bay, especially when it’s cold. Given how complex the W16 is, and…[Read more]

Found a used Jeep Wrangler but want an inspection first – anyone used this site?

I’m looking at a 2018 Wrangler Sahara that a private seller posted online, and the price is decent but I’m worried about hidden off road damage or rust underneath since these things get beaten on sometimes. I came across h…[Read more]

My 2016 Discovery Sport has developed this annoying delay when shifting from reverse to drive, like it takes a full two seconds before engaging, and sometimes it clunks into gear. The dealer says it needs a full transmission service but they want nearly 6k AED just for a fluid change and software update, which seems crazy. I’ve heard that Sharjah…[Read more]

I’ve got a 2016 XF that’s been pulling slightly to the left and eating through front tyres way faster than it should, so I’m pretty sure the alignment is off or maybe something in the suspension is worn. The dealer quoted me a stupid amount just for diagnosis, so I started looking around online and came across…[Read more]

I’ve been scrolling through those “best garages” lists for the last hour and honestly half of them look like paid ads, so I’m hoping to hear from real people who’ve had actual work done recently. My Audi A3 is due for a full set of pads and I don’t want to gamble with some random shop again like I did last year when they somehow installed the…[Read more]

Slow puncture that no shop seems to want to fix properly, anyone know a tyre place in Sharjah that patches instead of pushing new sets?

I’ve been dealing with this annoying slow leak in my rear passenger tyre for about a month now, I’ve taken it to two tyre shops near my place in Deira and both of them just glanced at it and said the tyre’s too…[Read more]

Was driving home late last night and didn’t see this monster pothole until it was way too late, the impact was so hard I actually pulled over to check if the rim was cracked, and now today whenever I turn the wheel at low speed there’s this distinct popping sound from the front left that’s got me seriously worried. A friend who used to have a…[Read more]

I’m genuinely frustrated right now. Bought a brand new battery for my 2016 Passat about fourteen months ago from a shop in Deira, and yesterday the car wouldn’t start at all – just clicking. Got a jump and drove straight back to the same shop, and the guy tested it and said “yes battery finished, need new one.” When I asked why it died so fast, h…[Read more]
