I’ve got this problem with my car that’s been bothering me for a while and I can’t seem to figure out the source. There’s this musty, slightly stale smell that hits me every time I open the door, especially if the car’s been sitting in the sun for a while. I’ve tried those hanging air fresheners, I’ve sprayed fabric freshener on the seats and carpets, I’ve even left one of those charcoal odor absorber bags under the seat for a few weeks, but nothing seems to get rid of the smell permanently, it just masks it for a day or two and then it comes back. I’m starting to wonder if there’s something growing in the AC system or if there’s some spill that soaked into the carpet padding that I can’t see. I really want to get the interior properly deep cleaned because I’m pretty sure a thorough shampoo of the carpets and seats would make a huge difference, but I don’t trust myself to do a good job with the rental machines that never seem to extract all the water properly. I’ve been looking around for a place that does quality car interior cleaning in Abu Dhabi because I figure a professional would have the right equipment to actually get the carpets and upholstery properly clean and maybe even treat the AC system if that’s the source of the smell. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue and managed to get it sorted with a proper interior clean? I’m hoping it’s not something more serious like mold or mildew that would require replacing the whole carpet.
