My 2016 Discovery Sport has developed this annoying delay when shifting from reverse to drive, like it takes a full two seconds before engaging, and sometimes it clunks into gear. The dealer says it needs a full transmission service but they want nearly 6k AED just for a fluid change and software update, which seems crazy. I’ve heard that Sharjah has some indy shops that know these ZF boxes inside out, so I’m considering finding a proper Land Rover Gearbox Workshop Sharjah that can do the job for a more reasonable price. Has anyone here actually taken their Land Rover to a Sharjah transmission specialist and had a good outcome? I’m not looking for shortcuts, just honest work from people who see these cars every day and can reset the adaptations correctly. Would love to hear real experiences before I hand over my keys.
