Slow puncture that no shop seems to want to fix properly, anyone know a tyre place in Sharjah that patches instead of pushing new sets?
I’ve been dealing with this annoying slow leak in my rear passenger tyre for about a month now, I’ve taken it to two tyre shops near my place in Deira and both of them just glanced at it and said the tyre’s too worn to repair and I need to buy a new pair, but the tread is still fine there’s no way I’m tossing a tyre with 20k on it because of a hidden nail. The first shop didn’t even dunk it in water to find the leak they just told me it’s probably the valve stem and sent me off with a new one that didn’t solve anything, so I’m still topping up air every few days and it’s getting old fast. A friend who lives in Al Khan told me I should drive out to the industrial side of Sharjah where there are a bunch of old school places that actually take the time to do a proper patch from the inside for way less than what Dubai shops quote, he called one of them the best tyre repair service Sharjah has for stubborn leaks but of course he couldn’t name it, just said it’s near the big Dragon Mart area on the other side. Before I waste a whole Saturday morning driving around that dusty maze, has anyone been to a shop there that specializes in repairs rather than just pumping out new tyre sales, I don’t want to show up and get the same “just buy two new ones” speech from yet another guy who can’t be bothered.
